In late September of this year, the State Patrol ran its ‘One More Stop’ campaign, which emphasized stopping DUI drivers to honor a fallen WSP trooper from last year. Trooper Christopher Gadd was struck and killed by an impaired driver on Interstate 5 just north of Marysville on March 2, 2024. According to the Washington State Patrol, before the accident, Trooper Gadd had messaged some fellow troopers that he would meet them after making “one more stop” with the intent to stop one more speeding driver or potentially impaired driver. This campaign is undoubtedly one of many coming our way in the not so distant future, as the holiday season(s) are quickly rolling in. Be safe out there.
