How does one ‘render criminal assistance,’ which is deemed a crime in Washington State. Rendering criminal assistance occurs when a person renders criminal assistance with the intent to prevent, hinder, or delay the apprehension or prosecution of another person who they know has committed a crime or is being sought by law enforcement officials for the commission of a crime or has escaped from a detention facility.
